Huddle Together
October 5th - 12th, 2024
Huddle Together for Mental Health was created by Cornell Head Football Coach and NAMI Finger Lakes Board Member David Archer to use the platform of sports to bring education and awareness around mental health education and resources. The concept brings together partners from Cornell, Ithaca City Schools, and NAMI-FL, during the Hilinski Hope Foundation’s Student Athlete Mental Health Awareness week to offer a week’s worth of programming, mental health awareness games, and overall advocacy for mental health. The hope is to grow this program in all ways in future years. If you want to volunteer to be part of huddle, click below to fill out a volunteer form.
NAMI Ending The Silence
Join NAMI Finger Lakes for a free presentation - Ending the Silence - designed to give audience members an opportunity to learn about mental illness. This presentation outlines symptoms of mental health conditions and gives attendees ideas about how to help themselves, friends, or family members who may need support. This presentation also includes a personal testimony from a young adult living with a mental health condition and their journey to recovery. Learn more about this NAMI program.
